Sofia Took Our Order

12 Aug

Oh my God. Just had a Sofia take our dinner order. I know, I know, you’re with us, dear. I can’t talk to her anymore. Don’t want to look her in the eye anymore.

    Hi,

I was just browsing the Takbo.ph site and came across the Run for Sofia Ysabel. Was curious so I decided to visit your Facebook page and eventually landed here on your blog. Your story and experiences with Sofia, your husband and your sons are very touching. I read all your posts from the latest to your first post. Your experience is indeed very difficult. My wife and I have 2 kids, a boy and a girl. I do not know if I will have the strength to face what you experienced, because when there are issues regarding our kid’s health, I oftentimes panic.

You and your husband are very strong parents. When our 1-year-old daughter was hospitalized just a month ago, I kept on praying that it will be over soon. She was just diagnosed with UTI but seeing her confined with dextrose almost destroyed my world. To make matters worse, I resigned from my job, failed our new business and was broke and with loans to pay. These experiences made me question why God would give us problems that are difficult to handle but after reading your blog, our experience is peanuts to what happened to you.

I believe that no matter how bad our experiences, there is something good waiting for us in the horizon. We can not explain or understand why, but people usually say in due time, we will understand. Sofia, your angel, is God’s gift to you and will continue to be His gift even though she is not with you physically. I am very thankful that I read your blog and got to know you and your family by just reading and I hope our family will meet your family one day. It may be possible to meet you during the race, but we are not sure if we can join. I really hope we can. Thank you, and may God continue to bless your family today and for the days, months and years to come.

hi. i dont know how it happened.but i just found your blog, and read from start to this post. i read all.all your experiences as a Mom, wife and most of all, a daughter of God. i have read every post and can i admit, that i cried on most parts? i just want to hug you.and tell you that you have a darling angel up there. and you were a great mom with her,and being a wonderful mom to your boys.

i have 3 kids too, ages 9,6 and 4. my husband has a pacemaker since he was 4 years old. he had some congenital heart ailment diagnosed when he was 3. with powerful prayers and faith, he is okay. maybe with mere coincidence, or your little Sofia showed me the way today to stumble upon your blog site. to give me something to read and be your partner in praying.

please take comfort in knowing that many people are praying for you, the feeling of brokenness you are having now, may you feel the love around you. i cant say that i know what you are feeling, but rest assured that you are being prayed for.

may the Good Lord continue to bless you and your family.

    Hi, Carla.

Yes, perhaps Sofia wanted you to read about her. 🙂 Thank you for reading Sofia’s stories, for the prayers, for taking the time to write a note. I’m glad to know that your husband is ok with his pacemaker.

May God continue to bless your family too.

    Trish
