We were trained on how to use a Baxter peritoneal dialysis set today. It’s something we need to learn assuming Sofia will need to continue on PD when she gets discharged. It’s mobile, too! The 2 liter dialysate pack is good for about 2 days. Felt good to be preparing for her home care even though we’re not yet cleared for the operation that can allow her to go home. Still praying for kidneys to recover, of course.
Sofia’s abdominal ultrasound did not reveal anything infectious. We’ll continue with our new antibiotics – hope it gets rid of whatever’s there soonest!
